Chatelaine magazine has made a pledge to be more inclusive in its representation of what and who is “Canadian” and what is a “Canadian” story and they are showing up with the fire in their September issue.

Toronto’s Tracy Moore is featured on the cover in all her glorious badass beauty! That fro though! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽 Yassss! Come through Tracy!

They’ve featured a list of 33 Black women across Canada who are activating great change in their 𝒬𝓂𝑜𝑜𝓃𝒾𝒯𝒾’𝓈… a more than admirable beginning for this long standing publication. I celebrate everyone of these women wholeheartedly.

My sissie,my family matriarch, my bestie, is also featured in this issue.

𝓟𝓸𝓻𝓽𝓲𝓪 𝓢𝓪𝓶 isn’t one of the 33 women I just mentioned because she’s in a league all of her own. What she does to assist and support her 𝓠𝓶𝓸𝓸𝓷𝓲𝓣𝓲 in growth and transformational change, with training for the next path in their journey at 𝑀𝒾𝓈𝒸𝑒𝓁𝓁𝒶𝓃𝓎 𝐹𝒾𝓃𝒹𝓈 – 𝓈𝑜𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁 𝑒𝓃𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓅𝓇𝒾𝓈𝑒 can only be described as outstanding work! And she gets ALL of my heart-filled, heart-felt applause.

Her own journey in this life has been one of which I don’t know many who could have survived it with the heart, the integrity, the commitment to service, the strength and the spirit that she has done. She’s not just a survivor, she’s a thriver! She’s definitely my hero! Cape or no cape, I admire her greatly!

Check out her interview in this months issue of Chatelaine!
